Ba Jin, male, Han nationality, is a native of Chengdu, Sichuan Province. He was born in 1904.
Ba Jin is one of China's most renown writers and the author of such works as "The Works of Ba Jin," "The Selected Works of Ba Jin," "Family," "Spring," "Autumn," and "The Trilogy of Love." He also served as editor of the following publications: "Cultural Life," "Literary and Art Monthly," "Harvest," and "Shanghai Literature."
He also has won several literary awards, including the Dante International Prize and the Fukuoka Special Asian Culture Prize. He is the chairman of the Chinese Writers Association and an honorary member of the American Institute of Arts and Literature.
Ba Jin was vice-chairman of the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th CPPCC National Committees and a deputy to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th NPCs.
