Biography

Fang Fenghui, male, Han nationality, is a native of Xianyang, Shaanxi Province. He was born in 1951, graduated from university of national defense. He joined the PLA in 1968. He was promoted as major general in 1998 and lieutenant general in 2005. In 2003, he became a member of standing committee of Guangzhou military area command and the chief of stuff of Guangzhou military area command. In 2007, Fang was promoted as the commander of Beijing military area command. He was a member of 17th CPC Central Committee. In 2012 he became Chief of the General Staff of the Headquarters of the General Staff, PLA and a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee and a member of the 18th CPC Central Military Commission.
