Biography Highlight

Li Wei, male, Han nationality, is a native of Jiangsu province. He was born in 1953, and graduated from Shanghai TV University. He served as secretary of the Shanghai CPC Committee until 1991. He was elected vice-chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission in 2003. In 2010 he became Deputy Director and Party Secretary of the CPC Leading Group of the Development Research Center of the State Council.
